Other Services

other servicesName givings

  • We both share the joy of having children and grandchildren. So we enjoy being invited to plan name giving celebrations.
  • A name giving is a secular ceremony chosen by many parents as an alternative or a precursor to baptism in a church. They believe their children can make more meaningful promises about their faith when they reach adulthood.
  • We delight in these occasions when families gather to celebrate the arrival of a new member and to affirm the roles of grandparents and those chosen as godparents or mentors.
  • Many a good wedding is later followed by a good namegiving!

Funerals, memorials, scattering of ashes

All of these are solemn occasions with an emphasis on honouring and celebrating a life well-lived.

  • We will meet with you in your home to facilitate the ceremony you wish to have.
  • Sometimes people like to discuss their own farewell in advance. We are ready to assist and support you in achieving your plans.

Renewal of vows

Why not recapture the magic of the past?

  • The renewal of your vows is a time of reflection and celebration of your life together.
  • You may like to do it with a quiet lunch or a gathering of all your family and friends to share the moment.

Retirement, anniversaries, significant birthdays

All of these are occasions to be marked with ceremony and celebration. Whether a relaxed occasion or more formal proceedings are called for, we are ready to assist you.

Ceremony is a visible means for honoring that unseen world that we feel within.
– David Oldfield in 'Crossroads'
